The Delamere collection

The Delamere collection is an exclusive knitwear set from Germander Cottage Crafts. The hat, cowl and fingerless mitts have been inspired by one of Northern England’s most loved forests- Delamere. The slipped stitch pattern peaks resemble the evergreen tree tops you’ll find there, as well as the winged inhabitants.

Milburn DK by Eden Cottage Yarns in colourway Catmint. (85% British Bluefaced Leicester, 15% Mulberry Silk; 112m / 122yd per 50g / 1.8oz, or similar DK yarn
Hat- 50 (60, 70)g / 1.8 (2.1, 2.5)oz
Cowl- 100g / 3.5oz
Mitts- 45g (55)g / 1.6 (2)oz

4mm / US 6 DPNs or circular needle for magic loop method, or size needed to obtain gauge
3.25mm / US 3 DPNs or circular needle for magic loop method
Stitch holder (or spare yarn) for thumb of mitts
Darning needle
4 stitch markers (1 for hat and for cowl, 4 for mitts)

Gauge:
20 sts and 32 rows to 10cm / 4in in pattern using 4mm needles

Finished measurements:
Hat- 45 (50, 55)cm / 17.75 (19.75, 21.75)in circumference; 20.5 (22.5, 25)cm / 8 (8.75, 9.75)in long after blocking

Hat is intended to fit adult head sizes:
Small: 54cm / 21in
Medium: 58cm / 22.5in
Large: 62cm / 24in
